Exercise Strategy Session
A personalised talk-based session to help you design an exercise plan that actually fits your goals, lifestyle, and recovery needs — no guesswork, no fluff.
Exercise Strategy Session
A clear, personalised plan to move forward with confidence.
If you’ve ever wondered…
-
What’s actually required to reach my goals?
-
How do I fit gym, running, sport, and recovery into one week?
-
Can I train for a half or full marathon and still build strength or maintain my physique?
-
Am I doing too much — or not enough?
-
Why is my body composition not changing even though I exercise?
-
What should I do now that I’m coming back after a break (and my body isn’t the same)?
You’re not alone — and you don’t need to keep guessing.
The Exercise Strategy Session is a one-on-one consultation designed to remove the confusion around training and help you build a clear, flexible, and realistic exercise structure tailored to your life, your goals, and your current capacity.

A clarified goal (or a smarter one, if needed)
-
A structure that supports both progress and recovery
-
Confidence in your weekly schedule — even when life gets busy
-
A plan that supports your physical and mental energy, not drains it
-
Honest answers and strategic insight — no fluff, no hype
FAQ
Why did you create this service?
Over the years I have witnessed knowledge gaps emerge around the practical aspects of managing all components of an exercise routine. In our culture we pretty much have the Physio (or equivalent) who focuses on rehabilitation or physical ailments, then we have the P.T. who can help construct a gym program and helps deliver the training in that environment only. Over the years, my clients keep asking questions which fall outside of the scope of the P.T. or Physio. Questions around making the exercise work – not only gym, but how to fit that in with yoga, pilates, and training for a half marathon in September. Or coming up against niggles when increasing the load when approaching a competition event – not so much spefic reahb.
I have also observed that a lot of advice from fitness studios is biased and gives misinformation (because they have a vested interest) – for example, a fitness studio which is centred around calorie burning with no appropriate strength programming will make a claim that ‘strength’ is a main feature of their program – Just using buzz words, either making false claims for their own gain, or unwittingly giving bad advice.
In any case, the number of ‘big-picture exercise questions’ continues to increase. It’s not rocket science, but there is a lot of small pieces of info and some myths which create confusion and waste time for the layperson. During my treatment sessions I realised that many clients desired a more full scaled discussion and so I created this service to be able to service the demand for this type of assistance/facilitation.
What qualifies you for this service?
I could point to my Personal Training qualification, my tertiary studies in physiology, or other formal education that supports my work in this space. But honestly, what gives me confidence in this domain is a lifetime of application of the principles I’ve learned, including things like:
-
14 years of competitive football, which required constant balancing of recovery, strength training, conditioning, and skill development
-
Working as a topless waiter, where I had to maintain peak body composition over extended periods — learning firsthand what it takes to stay lean, strong, and consistent under pressure
More recently, I’ve had the privilege of working with thousands of clients from all walks of life. Through this, I’ve come to understand the real challenges people face when it comes to training — from time pressures and stress to misinformation and lack of clarity.
This service is the result of everything I’ve learned — not just about how to train, but how to make exercise fit sustainably into a full, modern life.

What would a session look like?
A talk-based session, so mostly a sit-down discussions, prehaps doing some planning and brainstorming on the whiteboard together. In some cases basic demonstration on form correction for gym movements, rehab/recovery exercises, running pattern, etc. Perhaps mapping out with pen and paper your actual schedule to get clear on what is achieveable.
